TIGERLIILY

PROJECT SCOPE
UX/UI Design

THE CHALLENGE
Created an app expansion for a small business in Harbor Springs, MI

The Brief: A small business in Harbor Springs, Michigan wants to take their expertise and offer it to a new audience through the development of an app. It will be used to help inform customers not only on what plants to buy but how to take care of them once they get their new plant children home.

Styleboard

 Persona

I pulled from the more traditional plant store color scheme, relying heavily on the green and warmer beige tones in order to invoke a more old town feel while still creating a modern app.

The audience being addressed by the creation of this app are younger than those typically going into a small town plant store. It is meant to bring in a younger market and educate instead of selling.

WIREFRAMES
To start building out the application I created wireframes establishing the general layout, features, and connections for the future of the app.

The use of cards and filtering shown here were design elements I knew I wanted to put into the final version.

APP WALKTHROUGH
This is the final design of the Tigerlily app, allowing for new plant parents to learn more about how to take care of different types of plants. It has articles and videos for traditional education, as well as access to the staff and plant descriptions to help make informed decisions.
